Advantages: Beautifully and freely located in the middle of greenery! Everything is very tastefully and high quality furnished. The staff is incredibly friendly and always tries to read every wish from the eyes. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the food was consistently good. An absolute feel-good place that I can recommend from the bottom of my heart. Ayubowan! 🇱🇰✨

A Scenic Stay with Great Hospitality Near Yala National Park

I really enjoyed my stay at Serene Park Hotel by Ark in Tissamaharama (Tissa), especially because I was planning to visit Yala National Park. I thought staying somewhere close to the park would make the trip more convenient, and it turned out to be the right decision!

One of the biggest advantages was that the hotel offered its own Yala National Park safari package at a more reasonable price than the options I had researched beforehand. This made the entire experience much smoother, from arranging the trip to heading out for the safari. It was definitely convenient to have everything organised through the hotel.

My friends and I arrived in the early morning, but unfortunately, there was no receptionist on duty at that time, which caused a slight delay in our departure to Yala National Park. However, I appreciated that the hotel allowed us to check in early and leave our belongings in the room before heading out for the safari. This was a big help, especially after travelling overnight.

The hotel also has plenty of facilities to keep guests entertained, including board games, a pool table, and a swimming pool. It's a nice place to unwind and have some fun after a long day of exploring.

What makes this hotel even more special is its beautiful surroundings. Surrounded by paddy fields with a lake right in front of the property, the hotel offers a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. It's a lovely place to relax and enjoy the natural landscape, away from the usual hustle and bustle.

The staff and receptionist were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a generous spread of food that made for a satisfying start to the day.

Another advantage is its location near Tissa town, making it easy to head out for a walk, explore the local area, and find places to visit nearby.

As for the room, it was well-equipped with all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The room was cosy and inviting, with an atmosphere that could even make it a lovely choice for couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Overall, Serene Park Hotel by Ark is a great option for travellers planning a visit to Yala National Park. The convenient safari arrangements, scenic surroundings, friendly staff, enjoyable breakfast, and comfortable rooms made my stay worthwhile.

Despite the minor inconvenience upon our early-morning arrival, I had a pleasant experience here and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Tissa before or after exploring Yala National Park 🫶🏻

Advantages: 1 of the best in Yala… a bit old building but the rooms are amazing. And the best food we had comparing to the 4 other hotels and areas we stayed at. Disadvantages: Nothing

Advantages: The staff is super friendly (they helped us to upload the luggage among other things) and we also took the safari with them the day we arrived for the next day, super easy and and they put us together with good drivers. The pool is great looking at the fields surrounding the hotel, ideal to watch the sunset. We did not get close but on the other side of the road there is a very nice lake. The breakfast was also very complete (on the day of the safari they prepared one packaged to take away). The rooms are very spacious and the air conditioning works great. Also the hotel itself is super cute. Disadvantages: It is true that it is not close to restaurants or "life", but by tuktuk you can get there perfectly and jeeps if you visit Yala pick you up at the hotel.

Advantages: A little corner of paradise surrounded by nature, with a super relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Nice structure, friendly staff and a very special atmosphere. Also very good dinner!! Super recommended!

- friendly staff Disadvantages: Nice place but a bit in shambles. Our shower didn’t work (staff were quick to react). There was a broken window in the toilet. A whole floor seems to be under renovation or construction.

We stayed here as a nice end to our Sri Lanka journey and it was a beautiful place/good choice. We didn't see any of the tired or broken furniture that anyone spoke about, so they must have upgraded since, as this had the feeling of a higher end, classy place. Lots of lovely chairs, bean bags and spots to sit, enjoy the stunning views of the lake and fields. It was a very peaceful and very lovely place to stay. The staff couldn't do enough to help and accommodate and we were incredibly well looked after by the team and Raj, who was a wonderfully polite, professional and helpful gent.We did the Yala national park, walked around the lake, hit the gym nearby and wandered around while we were here. Great spot to explore to end our Sri Lanka tour.

Advantages: Moderna hotel with very large rooms and immersed in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. To make everything even more pleasant the swimming pool and the restaurant overlooking the fields.
Ra proprietario, the owner, was very kind and helpful to help us in the small movements.
We also booked through the hotel the safari and it was all organized in the best way with breakfast and lunch included, not to mention the driver, Omesh, attentive to our requests and very good.

Advantages: The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a very relaxed atmosphere. You can relax very well by the pool or on the first floor on sandbags. Disadvantages: Due to the unprotected location in the middle of the rice field, it is very windy.

Had a great stay here. The staff is friendly and you can ask them anything. It is beautiful, because it is located between the rice fields!There was a lot of wind. You can also eat here!
